​ICPA/IRMCA SPONSORS GAME AND RECEPTION AT U OF I
IRMCA/ICPA and their eastern Iowa members sponsored an Iowa Hawkeye men’s basketball game and reception for engineering students at the University of Iowa on February 3. Faculty, students, and alumni were invited to a pre-game reception with IRMCA and ICPA members inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The concrete industry’s message to the students was one of pride in our concrete state and the employment opportunities that exist here. Students were then provided with tickets to the Hawkeye men’s basketball game versus Penn State at 6:00pm. Along with the reception, IRMCA/ICPA were recognized as the game’s sponsor with an on-court presentation of the game ball. The Hawkeye Radio Network interviewed John Cunningham during their pre-game show and provided two ten-second advertisements during the game broadcast. Video board signage within the arena featured IRMCA and ICPA logos along with logos of all members that contributed directly to the event.
